چکیده
Nosocomial infections are proving to be a menace for the whole health care system, with methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) being very notorious causative agent. Along role of mecA gene producing penicillin-binding protein (PBP2a), production beta-lactamase enzyme by makes organism all β-lactam agents. This study aims at phenotypic detection resistance and β-Lactamase in S. isolates Cefoxitin disk diffusion test Penicillin zone-edge test, respectively. In this prospective cross-sectional study, samples were obtained from patients admitted different departments processed according standard laboratory protocols. As per CLSI guidelines, was done Disk Diffusion whereas phenotypically detected penicillin zone edge test. Among 179 aureus, 116 (64.8%) MRSA, remaining 63 (35.2%) methicillin-sensitive (MSSA). infection among ICU non-ICU found 24(13%) 155(86.6%) 24 patients, 19 had MRSA infection, 155 97 infection. Out MSSA isolates, only 2 (3.17%) sensitive Zone-edge 04 showed presence β-lactamase production, while 57 Penicillin. At same time, several class antibiotics ineffective against these isolates. Cases methicillin-resistant b–lactamase on rise our hospital settings.

BACKGROUND Phage typing had been utilised extensively to characterise methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) outbreak strains in the past. It is an invaluable tool even today to monitor emergence and dissemination of MRSA strains. Introduction: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is an important pathogen that causes several nosocomial or community-acquired infections. Adhesion to surfaces and subsequent biofilm formation are the major phases of a staphylococcal infection. The aim of this study was to detect the presence of icaABCD genes in clinical isolates of MRSA. Methods: A total of 110 clinical Staphyl...
